River Camp USA, Piney Creek, NC

We made it to our next stop in Piney Creek NC, at the River Camp USA Campground, w really only came here because it was the weekend and Stone Mountain was booked up, so we needed a stop off until we could get into Stone Mountain.
This campground had allot to be desired, but it was right on the New River and the river was gorgeous!!

On Saturday we decided to do another kayaking trip, so we packed up and headed out to find our put in spot, because the campground was right on the river, our take out was an easy one, just paddle down to the campground!  We drove out to a spot that gave us almost 7 miles on the river, and started blowing up the kayak.

This was an extremely popular river, and there were many canoe outfitters.  After getting everything ready we hit the river.

The weather was awesome, the river was beautiful, and we saw only one other group of people.  We were having a blast, there were small areas of small white water patches, that challenged us briefly and kept it interesting, there were super nice houses along the way too.

it was an awesome trip, it took us about 3 and half hours to get back to camp, we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.  Not much else to do at this campground, so we left out on Sunday and headed to Stone Mountain in Roaring Gap NC.
