9/13/14 Moving day & some work

Today we had to pack up to move to a new campground "River Plantation" where the "Carriage Rally" is being held.  Of course it was spitting rain when I woke up and I hate packing up and driving when it’s raining.  Packing up in the rain is no fun cause everything is wet which isn’t to terribly bad, but driving in it gets the camper all dirty.  And right now it’s still pretty clean.  Oh well :(.  We were planning on pulling out of our site at 10, but because on the rain it was closer to 10:30.  Its only about 15 miles away which should only take about 30 minutes to get there, BUT with the HUGE car show going on it took closer to 45 minutes or so with all the traffic.  I have a seminar to give about RV weight & tire safety on Tuesday at 3pm and of course we will be weighing RV’s.  Today we have 3 or 4 to weigh on their way into the Rally, most we will weigh on the way out Sunday & Monday.  We had asked the few there were being weighed today to call about 1 hour before arriving so we could be ready for them, and of course with us running a little behind we got the first phone call about 5 minutes after we got on the road.  So now it’s go time, we got to the campground, got checked in and hurried to our camp site to get parked.  Site #49

We got it backed in; electric hooked up, slides out and left to head to our weigh site in the front of the campground by the office.  We got there just in time before the first RV arrived that was getting weighed.  Nice!  We got him weighed and then sat around waiting for the few others to arrive.

Once we got the weighing done for today it was around 4:30pm so we went back to our camper and finished setting up, took Jemma for a walk around the campground, ate some dinner and planned out tomorrow anticipated schedule.  We only have 4 to weigh tomorrow so it will be a pretty boring day sitting around waiting.
