Getting warmed up!

Ok, I'm (Shane) warming up to writing in this blog.  I have a lot to learn so be patient with me :)

We arrived here at Hardin Ridge campground Tuesday Sept. 2nd around 4:30pm after the loooong
6 1/2 hour drive from Mulliken, MI.  I actually found this campground on a friends website Howard & Linda who have a terrific website http://www.rv-dreams.com/   They had camped in this site 144 years ago so knowing they select pretty good camping spots we followed there lead.  After we got parked and all set up we drove around the campground and sure enough this is among the best sites.  We then headed up to the entry gate and paid for 2 nights.  We knew we were probably staying for 4 nights, but just incase things changed and because we are in a non-reservable site we could always stay longer.  This a picture of our site.
Yea, I was taken it easy :)

Wednesday we decided to take a walk with Jemma (our daughter, I mean dog) down to the lake.  The only have 1 walking trail so we took the trail 1.5 mile down to the lake where Jemma got to run around a play in the water.

This is Lake Monroe, it's the largest lake in Indiana besides Michigan lake.  They have a nice beach and boat ramp.  We then walked back to the campsite making our walk to be about 3.25 miles.  Nice exercise.  Jami made us some yummy dinner then it was time to make a campfire.

Thursday I was having some back pain, a pinched nerve, so we mostly just lounged around outside.  I started writing my first post on this blog and Jami did some Facebook work.  She runs a Facebook page for Bubba Rope. You can click on the link to view the Facebook page.
Once it started getting dark we went inside, had some dinner, watched TV and went to bed.

Friday morning I woke up with my back feeling much better.  Yesterdays lounging around seems to have helped.  Jami made us some biscuits & gravy for breakfast, Yummy!  Then we whipped out our electronic devices and got to work :)  I started writing this post and Jami did some more Facebook work for Bubba Rope and also on some Origami Owl stuff.  She just recently started selling this really nice jewelry.  The web site is  Origami Owl Web site and the Facebook page is Origami Owl Facebook
The nice part about it is she can have on-line parities instead of going to someone's house.  And the really cool part is whoever "Host" the on-line party can get a lot of free stuff.  If interested let Jami know by messaging her on Facebook.  So help spread the word!!!!!
